Associate Pastor, Tyler Stynsberg
I grew up in Roseau Minnesota, just a ten minute drive south of the Canadian border. Youth group was the highlight of my week during my high school years. Fun games, good friends, snacks, mysterious and beautiful homeschooled girls—there was plenty to draw a young man in, but it became so much more then that as I learned and grew in faith thanks to the patient counsel and teaching of caring adults in my life who desired to reveal Jesus to me. They helped me see that I had something to offer; that I too could spread the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth. I knew I wanted to be that caring adult in a young person’s life. I wanted to help youth see Jesus, and then be his hands and feet to their communities. I attended Providence College and Theological Seminary in Otterburne, Manitoba to get a Youth Ministry degree. God provided great opportunities to work with youth throughout college in several different ministries that stretched and challenged me. I graduated with my degree in Youth Leadership with a minor in Biblical and Theological studies in 2009. I hope that I can walk alongside youth the way my leaders did; getting them excited about the glory of God, and showing each of them that they have something unique and crucial to offer for his Kingdom.
