Tyler is the guy - the youth guy. For the past several years God has been directing Tyler’s path toward full time youth ministry.  That path brought him to New Journey Church!  Yahoo!

Annual Youth Events

Extreme Faith:
Extreme Faith usually takes place over MEA weekend (mid to late October) and is a regional event that has been hosted in places like Grand Forks and in Fosston.  This event is open to all 7-12th graders and is held Friday night through Sunday morning.  Students attend workshops, general assembly, worship time, keynote speakers, and fellowship time.

Fifth Quarter:
Fifth Quarter is an event held after most home football games in Fosston.  Area youth are invited to Fosston Baptist Church for free food and pop, games, bon-fire, and an opportunity to “hang-out” with friends in a positive atmosphere.


 Resonate:
Resonate is a youth conference held in the spring for the Minnesota Baptist Churches belonging to the Red River Valley district.  Resonate is a place for youth to gather, worship, serve, and learn more about our saviour, Jesus Christ.  Resonate is open to all students in grades 7-12 and is held at Oak Hills Christian College in Bemidji, MN.


Easter Pancake Breakfast:
This is another wonderful chance in which the youth get to serve the church on Easter Sunday.  Youth plan the menu, prepare the food, and serve the meal before Easter worship service.

*Other events do come up during the year such as concerts, programs, plays, ect. We will do our best to spread the news of such events when they come to the area.
** It is not a requirement for youth to attend all or any of these events, however they are a great time to build relationships with other believers, and many events offer wonderful opportunities to grow.  If finding the funds necessary to attend such conferences are a problem, let us know.  Many times there are scholarships available to attend.
